A house for everyone who wishes to discover Vienna in a cultured, stylish, and authentic way.

Yes. The Roosevelt Stadthaus is located at Frankgasse 1 in Vienna’s 9th district, directly on Rooseveltplatz and Vienna’s Ringstraße. From here, many of the city’s most important sights are easily reachable on foot.
Parliament, City Hall, the Hofburg, the University of Vienna, the MuseumsQuartier, as well as the historic city center with St. Stephen’s Cathedral and Kärntner Straße are just a few minutes’ walk away. Numerous cafés, restaurants, museums, and theaters are also located in the immediate vicinity.
Yes. Despite its central location, the house is situated in a historic Gründerzeit district with classic Viennese townhouses. Rooseveltplatz is spacious, green, and quiet – a place where Vienna has preserved its original rhythm.
The Roosevelt Stadthaus is located in a significant Viennese Gründerzeit building from 1886, designed and built by Emil Ritter von Förster, one of the defining architects of the Ringstraße era.
The house is closely connected to Vienna’s cultural and architectural history: the renowned architect Adolf Loos designed several apartments here, and the writer Arthur Schnitzler lived and worked in this building, where he also ran his medical practice. After the Second World War, the University of Vienna was reopened in this very house.
To this day, the high construction quality, the monumental staircase, and the generous room proportions define the unique character of the building.
