The Roosevelt Stadthaus is not a traditional hotel, but a small, elegant boutique townhouse in a historic building dating from 1886, directly by the Votive Church and close to Vienna’s Ringstrasse. It is for guests who value generous spaces, quality, privacy and personal service.Our guests stay in spacious rooms, suites and apartments that combine the comfort of a hotel with the atmosphere of a private Viennese residence. The house is personally run, with only a small number of rooms and apartments, a quiet atmosphere and discreet service.There is no 24 hour reception or public restaurant, but our team is personally available in the house and happy to assist with recommendations, reservations and local advice. We do not serve breakfast. Instead, we recommend a selection of Viennese cafés nearby.Complimentary mineral water, tea, Nespresso coffee and cookies are available in our self-service lounge. Alcoholic drinks are available at an additional charge. Housekeeping is also available free of charge on request.

Regular check in is from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and check out is by 11:00 am. Subject to availability, we are happy to offer complimentary early check in, late check out and late check in on request.Please let us know your preferred arrival and departure times when booking. This service is part of our personal approach and an exclusive benefit for guests who book directly.

We do not serve breakfast at Roosevelt Stadthaus. Our self-service lounge offers complimentary mineral water, tea, Nespresso coffee and cookies. Alcoholic drinks are available at an additional charge.We are also happy to recommend Viennese cafés and breakfast spots nearby, depending on your preferences and plans for the day.

No, the Roosevelt Stadthaus does not have air conditioning. However, all rooms and apartments are equipped with fans.

At the Roosevelt Stadthaus, rooms are not cleaned automatically every day. We are happy to clean your room free of charge on request. Simply let us know when you would like your room cleaned, allowing you to enjoy privacy and flexibility throughout your stay.

Yes. The Parliament, City Hall, Hofburg, University of Vienna, MuseumsQuartier and St Stephen’s Cathedral are all within easy walking distance. At the same time, the house is located on a quiet side street away from the main tourist routes.

Of course, you are welcome to leave your luggage with us after check out.

Yes, of course. Complimentary and reliable Wi-Fi is available to all guests throughout the Roosevelt Stadthaus, in all rooms as well as in the public areas.

We are very happy to welcome families with children. A cot is available for babies up to one year old. Due to space limitations, we are unable to provide extra beds beyond the stated room occupancy. Our apartments are particularly well suited to families, with plenty of space.

In selected rooms, the double bed can be arranged as two single beds on request. This is possible in Superior Double Room No. 303 and Garden View Suite No. 305. Simply let us know when booking and we will prepare the room accordingly.

Yes, the Roosevelt Stadthaus has a lift. It is located after approximately 20 steps from the entrance and provides access to all rooms and suites.

Yes. Despite its central location, the house is set in a historic Gründerzeit neighbourhood with classic Viennese townhouses. Rooseveltplatz is spacious, green and quiet, a place where Vienna still retains its original rhythm.

The Roosevelt Stadthaus is located in a significant Viennese Gründerzeit building dating from 1886, designed and built by Emil Ritter von Förster, one of the leading architects of the Ringstrasse era.The building is closely connected to Vienna’s cultural and architectural history. Adolf Loos designed several apartments here, while writer Arthur Schnitzler lived and worked in the building and also had his medical practice here. After the Second World War, the University of Vienna reopened in this building.Its fine architecture, monumental staircase and generous proportions continue to define the character of the house today.
